Non and minimally-invasive Firming & Lifting
As we age, our skin gradually becomes thinner and less elastic. In addition to this, the volume of fatty tissue immediately beneath the skin decreases and we also lose facial muscle tone along with skeletal bone mass causing facial features to droop and sag. When and how quickly these changes occur are largely determined by our genes, although they can be rapidly accelerated by smoking or sun exposure.
A liquid facelift using Juvederm® Voluma Fillers achieves skin lifting by replacing facial volume that has been lost during the aging process. Juvederm® Volift and Volbella are also used to fill in facial lines and folds, thereby reducing unsightly shadows commonly seen around the eyes, nose and mouth.
A Thread lift is a safe, convenient alternative to traditional facelift surgery and is designed to be less invasive, whereby special threads are used that are hidden within the skin itself. The procedure redefines facial contours, restores volume and reduces wrinkles with results lasting up to 18 months. Common treatment areas include the forehead (brow lift), lower face (jowls and sad lines) and midface (nasolabial folds and cheek projection).
Ultherapy® is the only FDA-approved non-surgical face procedure that uses ultrasound to firm and lift the skin. It is effective in lifting of the jowling areas and periorbital lines (around the eyes). It penetrates below the surface of the skin so as to specifically target the deep foundational layer of tissue that doctors address with surgical facelifts. The ability to treat not just the skin but its underlying support very precisely, from the inside out, helps to ensure both safe and satisfying results, with no downtime. With just one treatment, the regenerative process is initiated, but the effect will build gradually over the course of two to three months. Further improvements can even appear up to six months following a procedure.
Visible effects include a lifting and toning of sagging skin. There is also a noticeable and significant lift of the brow line which can lead to a more open, youthful look to the eyes overall. Firmer and better-fitting skin in other areas of the face is evident as well. There is also an invisible result from the procedure with the creation of new, more youthful collagen and elastin that help strengthen the skin from within.
Some people, in particular those of Chinese or South East Asian descent, naturally tend to have wider jawline profiles. This condition, known as Masseter hypertrophy, is also common in people who grind their teeth (Bruxism) or chew a lot of gum. The injection of Botox into this overactive Masseter can effectively slim down square jawlines to achieve to a more ideal V shaped lower face.
Over the years, the use of Botox® has gone beyond just treating wrinkles and fine lines. The Botox Masseter program is an intensive jawline contouring treatment schedule for fast and effective results. This procedure involves injecting Botox® into the masseter (jaw) muscles and gives overly square and masculine face shapes a softer and more youthful look. The Botox Masseter program consist of 3 sessions done at 2 month intervals.
Botox® (FDA Approved) is the trade name for Botulinum Toxin A, and is an injectable treatment. It is a neurotoxin that relaxes specific muscles for 4 to 6 months.
V-Shaped Face Enhancement
The V-Shaped face is universally accepted to be the most attractive facial shape. The ideal angle of beauty (between the vertical plane and the side of the jawline) should be between a 4 to 9 degree inward slant. Common facial problems that detract from this ideal profile include a square jaw (due to Masseter hypertrophy), jowling, and an undeveloped chin.
Using Juvederm® Voluma Fillers, our Doctors can enhance and beautify important areas such as the chin, to improve its projection and/or length, as well as add strength to a weak-looking jawline.
Botox of the overactive Masseter muscle can very effectively slim down a widened jawline profile. Botox® (FDA Approved) is the trade name for Botulinum Toxin A, and is an injectable treatment. It is a neurotoxin that relaxes specific muscles for 4 to 6 months.
Ultherapy® is the only FDA-approved non-surgical face procedure that uses ultrasound to firm and lift the skin. In the lower face, its benefits include reducing the appearance of jowling, improving the contour along the jawline edge, and reducing the appearance of chubby cheeks.
Dark Eye Circles
Dark circles under the eyes can be caused by a number of factors. Most commonly, these include loss of volume under the eye, hyperpigmentation of the eyelid skin (due to sun exposure or Melasma), thinning of the eyelid skin (due to aging) allowing underlying blood vessels to show through, and fat bulge below the lower eyelid. In most cases however, there are multiple factors involved, hence a combination of several treatments is often employed.
Juvederm® Volbella Fillers are the latest evolution of the Juvederm® range and is widely considered to be the best under-eye Filler available. It is ideal for improving the appearance of dark circles due to under eye volume loss, tear trough defect, and eye bags. Adjunctive under eye laser treatment help in addressing concurrent issues such as skin pigmentation, abnormal blood vessels, loose skin and fine lines.
Hyperpigmentation and thinning of the eyelid skin can be treated through various Laser treatments that include Fractional CO2 Laser (to strengthen the tissues), Clarity Laser (epidermal pigmentation), Dual Yellow Light Laser (epidermal pigmentation and vascular reduction) and Spectra Laser (dermal pigmentation).
